Verde of the blog,"Art by Verde," 'has an eye' for everything that is lovely, colorful, and natural (ala Mother Natural). This talent certainly comes in handy, as she is a professional published artist from New Hampshire.

Her articles are refreshing, as she delves into the mundane, her creative thoughts, and sometimes into beach sand. She has a particular affection for avian creatures, capturing them in her bold artwork.

She began writing this blog in February of 2007, when she was cold and bored. Let us be thankful she did.

Lucie Bryar at "New Hampshire...Love it or Leaf it," enjoys exploring New Hampshire slow and easy, on foot, via bike or water route. Articles run the gamut of places to go, and techniques to use (i.e. "Basic Paddling Techniques").

Although only three months old, this blog has great potential. After just reading a few articles, I've already discovered several new hiking and biking trails!

This is a "must-read" for anyone interested in New Hampshire's outdoors.

Mike Lynch of "Mike Lynch Cartoons" blog is a magazine gag cartoonist. He has to be. His masthead subtitle says so. Even his avatar is a cartoon.

He commands you to spit your gum out and pay attention. He lives in Milton, New Hampshire. Somehow those two statements feel connected.

His writing and cartoons are sometimes campy (not the boyscout kind) and very fun.

He's been blogging since 2006 and I just found him! He's a keeper.

This blog should be of interest to anyone in the video or graphic production fields, movie or documentary producers, mainstream and independent moviemakers, both professional and aspiring actors and actresses, and local film afficianados.

Even folks who are not in any of the above categories would enjoy reading about television series, sitcoms and possibilities.

Tom R. Daggett is a Maniac errr Mainite who now lives in or near Concord New Hampshire, apparently in the Endicott Building.

His blog, The Endicott Dispatch, is mostly a report on what is going on at the Endicott Building where he rents an apartment. However, on occasion events occurring near this building are also mentioned.

You'd think such a topic would not be particularly interesting, however the rantings of this upset tenent may surprise you.

And so with that educational combination how could he resist the lure of writing about politics too. His blog aptly reflects his eclectic interests.

Although not currently living in New Hampshire, and so his roots are here. You will consider your visit to his blog thoroughly worthwhile.

Moments Forever Still

Babiebluz, the author of the blog "Moments Forever Still" is a New Hampshire resident (living somewhere in the Mount Washington Valley), and an autism specialist in the education field. Photography is one of her creative outlets.

During the past year (she began this blog in March of 2007) she has traveled a bit within the United States, and has posted some lovely photographs, both of people and outdoor scenes.

Eric D. Knapp would do almost anything to get on the Best Seller's List, even considering revisions to his book's (Out of Place, Out of Time) cover art. Hmmm... EraCluck might just be hit!

His writing is tongue-in-cheek witty, and his genre is science fiction and fantasy. Blogging since at least June 2003, he's been around the block several times.

His Amazon.com profile states: "Knapp has been writing since the first grade, when he was awarded his first of two Young Author's Awards. Since then, Eric has graduated with a communications degree from the University of New Hampshire, and has studied literature and fiction at the University of London. As a telecommunications engineer and freelance technology writer, Knapp has contributed to industry magazines such as 'Telecommunications', 'Exchange', and 'ISP World'. Saint Anselm College Blog

The Saint Anselm College Blog is produced by the folks at Saint Anselm (please don't pronounce it AN-SLUM!) College in Manchester New Hampshire.

Of course right now many of the articles are politically-oriented (surprise, huh?), but the majority of the posts appear to be college announcements (focused toward students), and articles about faculty/staff/alumni in the news.

The maintainers of this blog are technologically savvy, and they produce a news podcast that is easily accessible.

Even for those who are not particularly interested in the college, you can learn some interesting things.... for example, one of their alumni (Class of 1977) Mark Sullivan was named director of the U.S. Secret Service a year ago. Actually I think I met mark when Al Gore was "wrapping the NH State House in red ribbon" a few years ago at an event I was coordinating.

A superior blog! Four stars for presentation and content.

Diane Mayr's blog, "Kurious Kitty's Kurio Kabinet" is educational, but don't let that scare you. She is also very entertaining.

A Dog-Eared Town

Paul is a mid-30s guy who lives in the Hooksett/Manchester NH area, and he is a prolific blogger at "A Dog-Eared Town." He has a wife named Lisa, and a cat named Siofra (wait--maybe that is Lisa's cat).

I especially enjoy Paul's "Your Tax Dollars At Work" series, which covers usually New Hampshire's nonsensical proposed laws, and unusual debates going on in our state legislature. (Have pity on 'em Paul, they don't have air conditioning).

Paul has a sharp wit and keen observation skills. He can spot a redneck taking his girl on a date in a dump truck from two miles away, and a change in the Dow Jones from even further away.

Intriguing reading.

New Hampshire Magazine presents an "everything-bridal" blog at Bride Buzz. Barbara Coles, Erica Thoits, Shannon Spiliotis and Cindy Kibbe each present brief articles to help real and potential brides make decisions about their nuptials.

Questions they ask (and sometimes answer) include: can wedding attire be too casual? How to save wedding items as memorabilia? What kind of gifts are appropriate for your bridal party? How do you have a Green Wedding (and they don't mean the bride wears green!)

So, if you are getting married, or know of someone who is, you should point them over to this blog. The best part--the advice would apply for ANY bride, not just the ones living in New Hampshire.

Shoals Marine Laboratory Blog

Someone using the intials SML (not their real initials obviously) at Cornell University is blogging for the Shoals Marine Laboratory, a biological field station run jointly by Cornell & UNH. His co-blogger, Le Mon is a toothy fellow who likes to hang his head out the car window like a dog.

Apparently there is a second Shoals blog, GoShoals Summer 2008.

They have only been blogging a short time, but already there are some interesting articles.

The Shoals Marine Lab plans on holding some cool classes... such as "Marine Vegetables" and "Boilology of the Lobster" .... err sorry that is "Biology of the Lobster," and "Marine Vertebrates." I guess I'm hungry.

Holly apparently is not a native of New Hampshire, and possibly not even a New Englander based on how she talks about the weather here.

She began her blog in January of this year. She is a VISTA working at the Red Cross as a grant writer and case worker, and lives in Hopkinton. Her dog Molly Brown is a cutie.

Tris Wykes of "A New Hampshire Yankee in the Old Dominion," describes his blog as "A rambling account of my life and travels and the people, places and events that intersect with them."

Although a brand spanking NEW blog, this one certain deserves more exploration. Tris Wykes started the blog because he is a relief worker who will be in New Orleans for a bit and wants to communicate with family and friends in this way.

For those of you who have been wondering about the "truth" of the lingering effects of Hurricane Katrina on New Orlean's, this is a great place to start. Tris' view of the city is probably closer to the truth than what we see in the news.

Lets hope Tris decides to keep on blogging, even after he returns home.

Patrick [I haven't figured out his last name yet] of "Patrick's Life in New Hampshire," is originally from the Netherlands, but he lives in New Hampshire with his wife Sue.

He blogs to keep his family informed about his life and interests. Although written in Dutch, you can use the handy (and free) online translator, Altavista's "Babel Fish".

Just select Dutch to English in the drop down box and plug in Patrick's blog URL to see an automatic translation. The translated wording is a bit rough and awkward, which only makes reading his articles more interesting.

This is an intriguing blog, as it gives you a wonderful insight into how foreign-born residents see our state, and our culture. A definite thumbs up.

Paul Martin is the New Hampshire blogger on Original Faith where he invites visitors to participate in thoughtful discussion on religious and spiritual matters. Paul's biography succinctly details his religious and educational background.

Original Faith comes with its own "what people are saying" section. This blog appears to be partially a promotion for his book, also called
"Original Faith," that is going to be available for purchase soon.

His topics are thought-provoking, to say the least. He welcomes comments, "the principle is simple: respect the person, even when you

She's been blogging since January of 2006 and her topics range from parenting to politics. The subtitle of her blog says it all. If you haven't figured out what a SAHM is... that is an acronym for Stay At Home Mom.

Carol's wacky sense of humor shines through her articles, and she isn't beyond poking fun at just about anyone or anything. Oh, she can have her serious moments, and she has a heart of gold.

Her photographs of her family and every day life are delightful, and will make you smile.

The Moose Dung Gazette

Tim Smith is not only the owner of The Moose Dung Gazette, a blog about his bushcraft and wilderness survival business (Jack Mountain Bushcraft), but he is also a bit of a comedian.

You immediately take note that "Anything that appears to be an error in spelling or grammar is actually the author's clever use of the vernacular, and thus is a carefully placed literary device that demonstrates his writing prowess."

His topics include books and video reviews, earth skills, gardening, gear, recipes, trip journals, and wild foods.

I don't normally include "business" blogs in this list, but Tim's has plenty of great stories that will captivate you.

His blog has been around since July 2006. I personally would love to see MORE photographs (as they are great eye candy), and more about wild foods available when in the wilderness. The only thing I haven't figured out, is how the moose dung fits in! :D

Connie Moses, the blogger at petArtistWithPeaches is a busy woman.

In addition to the attention she gives to the horses, dogs and cats in her life, she is interested in virtual art, and in building web sites.

She lives in Gilford NH and many of her photographs show little bits and pieces of New Hampshire scenery (although the stars of most of the photographs are her beloved human and horse family members).

Connie's stories are interesting, entertaining, and most definitely worth reading.

Her articles delve into the political goings-on in New Hampshire, from local legislation to the New Hampshire primary, and are well researched.

Susan is also a staff organizer for the New Hampshire Citizens Alliance for Action. Their web site states, "She has been with NHCA/NHCAA for 4 years. Susan has worked to organize NH residents to hold their legislators accountable, and in the past 2 years has been actively involved in our campaigns to protect Social Security, and improve Medicare Part D."

Krishna Kumar of "Thought Clusters" is a native of India currently working as a project manager at Ivesia Solutions. He lives in Londonderry, New Hampshire.

Through this recently created blog, he comments on his observations on business management, personal learning, information technology processes and software products. [He has been blogging for about ten months].

His blog makes for some really fascinating reading. I particularly enjoyed his "Quick Review of Google Products." I'm a Google fan, but haven't had a chance to check everything out myself. Now, I don't need to!

The more you read this blog, the more you realize that some concerns are universal, and that anyone using a Microsoft operating system will experience the "blue screen of death," at least once.

Can you spell TACT? Well good for you.

But you don't find much of it on Lost Nation.TV Instead you get raw politics on the half shell.

You can't help but be be impressed with the content, and quality of the articles-- the result of the combined abilities of the blog's contributors, Jack McEnany ("the father of the political blog"), Joe Bergeron and John Klossner.

Politics on both the national and local levels are covered here. I personally found the blog to be thought provoking and entertaining at the time same. They easily deserve a spot on my "Best of New Hampshire: Political Blogs."

Seacoast NRG

The byline states that this blog is news, analysis and opinion on energy issues for the New Hampshire-Main Seacoast region.

Seacoast NRG, is impressive (and trust me, I'm not easy to impress). Its blogmaster, Adam, is articulate, knowledgeable, and sometimes tongue-in-cheeck funny.

I especially enjoyed his "Carboney Awards"--his choice for this year's top ten UNDER-achievers in conservation.

The blog itself is pleasing to the eye, with every article usually accompanied by photographs or likenesses. The articles are fairly brief, but packed with great conservation information, written so that anyone from 8 to 88 can understand.

He is an entreprenurial film maker, and owner of Back Lot Films, Inc. Since 1993 he has been producing and distributing a variety of corporate and narrative productions.

Bill began his blog in April of 2006, and it provides advance announcements of new projects, descriptions of ongoing and past projects, with links to view some of them. He also blogs about personal news and opinon.

I enjoyed watching the movie clips he provides. He is most definitely talented.

In May 2006, the blogger of A Cautionary Tale (I'll call her Ctale for short) began with heart-warming and sweet stories of her recent pregnancy, mixed in with scary tales of horrifying neighbors. Thankfully she moved to a new place.

Ctale writes about her life, relationships, and pregnancy, with a frankness and occasional naivete that is charming.

In December she had a sweet little baby girl, and no doubt a great deal of future posts will involve her adventure into motherhood.

Blogging since December 2005, carpoolguy lives in Exeter, New Hampshire. I suspect he is related, or at least familiar with, seacoastguy.

His blog is reknown for his Sky Reports. Well at least known. These reports work similiar to a "weather rock" (where you place a rock in your backyard... if it's white it's snowing, you get my drift). In his case carpoolguy checks out the sky every morning on his way to work and comments on it, and the events of the day.

Some of his early Sky Reports are wondrously insightful:
-- "Todays sky looked alot like my grey sweatshirt."
-- "Like my brain after one too many Glenmorangie's, the sky was..."
--"Like a golden brick being tossed on a frozen pond, the sun cracked the sky....
--"The sky seemed to be dropping flakes as fast as the scalp of that old under you never really liked to be around."

His blog sometimes describes vehicular accidents he's had. It's the sort of blow-by-blow stuff that would not encourage me to carpool with this guy if I had the opportunity. The folks who still ride with him, must be doing so because of his entertainment value.

He was pretty active blogger until October of this year, then he got out of the blogging habit. Maybe if everyone who reads this will stop by at least once, he'll start up again.

Carpool guy also posts over at "Cooler at the Coast," and its possible that he is Kreblog's alterego.

In the blogging world, Kreblog is an old timer (blogging since March 2000).

Although he uses the local vernacular (i.e. "bubbler"), don't let him fool you. He first moved to New Hampshire in July of 1993 from Rochester, New York, where he was attending college. He left, and returned again, finding New Hampshire to be curiously addictive.

But he can talk the talk, and quite entertainingly.

When you visit his blog, you will learn more than you'd normally expect. An example is his recent post called "Foo." I like to think of myself as being technically savvy, but I was presented with a Foo-load of new technology.

Prolific is close to the word I want to use for his blogging capabilities. His fertile mind appears to spawn new blog articles with ease. In addition to Kreblog, he also blogs on The Dover Post, Cooler on the Coast, plus a few other suspects.

A great read for high-tech folks, and everyone else (topics include his cats, New Hampshire, Scrubs, music, food and drink, hiking, and more.)

New Hampshire Photo Tour

The subtitle of the blog, New Hampshire Photo Tour, says "Photos taken in and around the state of New Hampshire." What it should say is "Amazing Eye Candy From the Glorious State of New Hampshire."

I was already a fan of Ed Karjala's photographs. Now this fan club has grown dramatically to include Tracy Lee Carroll, Michael Costolo, Peter Szawloswki and the other photographers who contribute to this blog.

We sometimes take for granted the WOW! factor of the New Hampshire scenery that we drive, or walk by, daily. This blog demonstrates how we can view the sublime in the commonplace.

These photographers are working on a special project, "NH 2007 Calendar Project" where sales of a unique calendar (displaying New Hampshire scenes of course) will benefit CHaD, the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (NH). The cost of the calendar is $15. To order them using PayPay visit the Calendar Project web site. For check or cash payment, see the address shown under comments.

This calendar would make a great Christmas gift, for yourself, or a Yankee you know).

Pamming About

Like Pam of Pamming About once wrote, "Woah. I just had one of those whack on the head with a big wooden stick kind of revelations..."

I somehow have managed to review her sister and boyfriend, but completely forgot Pam. Doh.

She is definitely not a NH-born Mark Twain. She is more like, hmmm a lunatic accordian player with an attitude... just kidding Pam!

Actually she has led an intriguing life. In grad school she majored in "the oh-so-marketable field of Japanese classical literature," and has taught children in both Japan and the United States. That explains her self-described occupation of "molder of young minds, etc." She lives somewhere near the New Hampshire seacoast.

Her blog is a personal journal. She is bluntly honest in her evaluation of people and problems. She hates people who act like sheep (baaah baaah), but she loves the real thing (she is a yarnaholic). She also loves the Polka Party on WUNH.

I found myself being strangely drawn into both her tales of woe and hoho. Even if you don't know her, her stories make you wish you did.

Two thumbs up.

Be Less Boring

The Chosen One of the blog, Be Less Boring, is a New Hampshire resident ("of a town called Hell, or something like it") with many interests. Apparently boredom bothers him, as his subtitle, "Commandment 11: Thous shalt be less boring lest thou rot in hell for all eternity," may actually be his real life motto.

I spent a bit of time on his blog, reading some recent, and older articles...and discovered...

-He is interested in history (He took his children to some of New Hampshire's historical spots.)
-He is concerned about global warming. (He states, "The rest of us, well, we're off living our lives and looking forward to growing oranges and grapefruit here in New Hampshire").
-He likes driving in New Hampshire to be a challenge ("We have tote roads, skidder tracks, snowmobile trails, and Frost's two paths that diverged in the woods").

He DISLIKES, morons who can't figure out they don't pay cash in an EZPass lane, expensive gasoline prices, cities, people who misspell Rollinsford (there is no G in that word), and people who are politically-correct.

He watches his environment carefully (after all, who else would have noticed that a NH "Break for Moose" sign is in the "All Your Base Are Belong to Us" video?

I must admit his writing makes me think he is a New Hampshire-born "Mark Twain." His stories are funny, often tongue-in-cheek, and definitely not boring.

I enjoyed this blog so much that I'm including it among "The BEST OF NEW HAMPSHIRE blogs." Five stars, a must read.

Quentin Lewis, the mastermind behind Measure Twice, Cut Once, used the alias bigqueue, lives in Litchfield, New Hampshire, and is an electrical engineer.

Spanking brand new to blogging, he is off to a good start, with not one, but TWO blogs (I'm only going to critique one here).

Seems like Lewis is concerned a great deal with the United States economy (as we all should be) and his comments are worth reading. I'm hoping he continues his writing.

She is a domestic goddess. The 34 year old author of Blog: "Raising 4 kids in NH" has 2 boyds ages 3 and 6, and newborn twin daughters. Since May 2005 she has been sharing stories of her life.

And don't think that everything is humdrum. She is a really funny lady. For example she wrote "Tonight my husband and I are going to open house at my son's school. I thought I'd dress up in drag and really make the teacher wonder!"

The Political Climate: Carbon Coalition

The Politicial Climate is a blog on the Carbon Coalition Web site. It speaks for New Hampshire Citizens for a Responsible Energy Policy, and is an ongoing commentary fon the NH Primary and Climate Change.

Kudos to the Carbon Coalition for their first step into the blogging ring in August of this year. Their topic categories include election, energy, policy, etc., which gives you a good idea that their focus in on influencing voters and candidates regarding climate change, and to keep us updated on who says (and does) what during the primaries.

Their affiliated organizations include well known and reputable New Hampshire organizations: the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, Audubon Society of New Hampshire, and NHPIRG (New Hampshire Public Interest Research Group); and then some well-known national organizations, Appalachian Mountain Club and Clean Air-Cool Planet.

Keep an eye on this blog, I expect it to become a powerful champion of our future.

The greatest negative of this blog is that it don't allow comments, and all the posts are anonymous. Hey folks, I realize that global warming is a hot topic (pun intended), but moderate your posts, and allow some disagreement. That is what blogging is about. Also I'd be interested in knowing who is the author, and if there is more than one.

John Herman, the eccentricly creative vblogger of The Eye (a video blog) is 100 years old... oops he lives in Exeter New Hampshire that is 100 years old.. oops... well something like that. Reportedly he'd like to meet Baron Munchausen and Don Quixote for cookies and milk.

Eric Orff, a certified wildlife biologist for the NH Fish and Game Department, author, lecturer, and photographer has been blogging at "New Hampshire Nature Notes" for the past three years, about what New Hampshire's very own Mother Nature is up to. He has also been doing radio PSAs (public service announcements) about wildlife for the state of New Hampshire.

His weekly blog entries describe what is outside your window, with a naturalist's slant. He speaks honestly about the impact of human interaction on the world around us. There is a mix of joy and sadness in the facts that he shares, and the secrets of the animal kingdom are revealed.

From the fate of tiny brook floater mussels, to the current population of New Hampshire's moose, this blog is full of fun and fascinating information, and gorgeous photographs.

A great read for everyone.

The only negative is that this is a diary page on a regular web site (i.e. no automatic posting of reader comments). But I'm sure if you have a comment or question, use Eric's very handy email address at the top of the page, and he will accomodate you.

Ian Muir, the New Hampshirite at The Angry Scotsman, doesn't seem to be angry at all. But he is a funny guy. With posts such as, "Apparently Microsoft is the Devil," he deftly (or as least as deftly as a geek can) promotes his ideas and opinions.

In his bio he states: "I’m a fledging web guru and furture internet rockstar. Right now I’m slowly but surely working to make a name for myself in the standards community. My long term goal is to help the web mature into a space for collaboration, creativity and growth that surpasses the current notions of what people can really do." He is also the founder and primary of Sunder Media, a CSS designer, PHP and .NET developer and general web über geek.

His blog includes information about some pretty cool new and innovative programs and tools for web site designers, and I admit I bookmarked a few that he mentioned.

At "New Hampshire Law Blog," David Austin and Rob Hunt of Burke & Eisner Personal Attorneys in Gilford, New Hampshire blog (and have been since June of 2005).

At first glance I thought perhaps the blog was just advertising for their law firm, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was lean on advertising and flush with value--containing fascinating, and valuable posts.

The articles are timely, frequent, and often refer to real items in the news. They include links to documentation on specific cases.

Each post is filed according to its legal category, and has links back to the source of the material. Between the "Category" listings, and the search prompt, if your topic of interest is on their site, you will find it.

This blog obviously was extremely well thought out, and it is nicely presented. A great read for anyone interested in New Hampshire law as it relates to actual events.

They have a slick and colorful main blog page with icons that catch your eye and entice you to click on them. Luke Buckham, of O Machine, lives in Keene New Hampshire. In addition to blogging since October of 2005, he is publishing his own magazine, "The Appropriate" which includes regular features by "invisible luminaries." In his other life he is a Mexican Chef.

His blog topics range from prose to politics. His posts are clever, clear, concise and interesting.

His poetry is intriguing, to say the least. A line of one of his poems says "A strange unevenness inhabits the usual landscape today"--a good description of this blog.

Elizabeth "Liz" Delisi is a New Hampshire writer of "time travel romance, mystery and suspense," and is an instructor at Writer's Digest and Barnes & Noble University.

Liz started her original blog, "The World According to Liz" in October of 2004. Its safe to say this was a personal journal, talking about her daily life, her children, and her passion for knitting. In May of 2006 (this year) she states she is in a "writing funk"... and that is her most recent post on that blog.

In the meantime, in March of 2006, she began the "Liz Knits!" blog, which is more current, and reflects her love to knit, bead, crochet, weave, and tat. Articles about her latest creations often include photographs of brightly colored scarves, shawls, and handbags.

In May 2003 Ben Kepple moved his blog to new quarters (here).

His old blog, "Benjamin Kepple Daily Rant," has been around since September 2001, and is described as "Discussions on foreign affairs, religion, and the state of American culture...oh, heck with it. It's an electronic soapbox where I get to spout off about all the idiocy that manifests itself in this day and age."

I was amused by his post, "A Travesty and Abomination Against Film-Making" about The Da Vinci Code movie, he's a witty guy. His topics often cover items you see in the daily headlines, but with a "benkepple twist."

I must have been hiding under a rock, because this is the first time I've heard of him, and I used to read the Investor's Business Daily.

His bio says: "Benjamin Kepple is a journalist in New Hampshire. He is a former reporter/writer for Investor's Business Daily, Heterodoxy, and FrontPage Magazine. He has also been published in the Daily News of Los Angeles, the Ottawa Citizen, AlbertaViews, and other publications. He was also a contributing editor for the 2nd edition of "Choosing the Right College," published by ISI Books."

I had a difficult time deciding where to place this blog in my category system... he is not quite a diarist, nor a philosopher, but strangely he seems both.

M.R. (Montauk Rider), the owner of The Zen of Motorcycling, is a 50ish Manchester New Hampshire male blogger who likes jazz, opera, motorcycles, touring, travel and the fascinating people along the way....

Written in diary fashion, I was pleasantly surprised (well, surprised in the way when you pick up a rock and discover its really a small diamond) at what I read.

Although most of the entries are short and sweet, scattered here and there are things I'd never thought about, such as "Like snowflakes, no two Springs are exactly alike." (How True).

Intermingled are photographs of many places he stops along the way.

M.R. also has a photostream.

Vroom Vroom, definitely worth at least one stop.

It looks like Rick has faced the problem many bloggers do. If you create a blog with a specific theme of posts, what do you do with the rest of your creative thoughts? Ah, make other blogs... Eventually one shakes out as the one where you'd like to spend more time.

I'm not sure if he had twenty blogs, that it would really give us insight into the mind of this very complex man.

The New Hampshire Bushman

The subtitle of The New Hampshire Bushman used to say : "Tea, GPS, and good times in Taiwan (and many other places!) with MJ and Hui-Chen." Now MJ and Hui-Chen are married and the good times continue.

The downside of this blog is that every single post is on the first page... so if you have low RAM or a dial-up connection, its going to take a while for this blog to load :(

The reason that M.J. set the viewing defaults this way are explained in his comment below.

Blogging since May 2005, M.J. Klein, who I assume is the New Hampshire native, resides in Hokou, Hsinchu, Taiwan.

The blog is deceptively interesting--a Yankee New Englander's insight into Eastern culture... like a frog sitting in a bird's nest :D

Trying to live the good life in New Hampshire, these Swamp Yankee Wannabees, Aileen and Lionel (and dog Gump) created a blog in November 2004.

They express largely random ideas on Life, the Universe, and Everything, from politics, philosophy, and current topics, to antics of life on the farm.

Amazing discoveries can be made there (did you know Alaska is really warmer than New Hampshire)...

The Woolen Rabbit

In addition to being the blog's title, The Woolen Rabbit is a shop nestled in Conway, in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This shop sells luxury fibers and yarn, along with natural soaps and handcremes.

They also breed Nordic Angora rabbits, and King Charles spaniels.

This blog is dedicated to Kim Kaslow, the blog owner's, love for animals and fiber.

Colorful photographs add to the unique feeling.

"Raven" is an alias for the creator of And Rightly So blog, which has been around since October of 2004.

Raven is 41, divorced, with three daughters, four cats and a dog. She is an LPN working in a nursing home. She lives in Southern NH and loves it here. She thinks that Massachusetts "sucketh."

Raven is expressively candid about the many topics (including "New England," "Current Events," "Liberal Lunatics") she includes on her blog. I especially enjoy reading her "History" category.

She is entertaining, disturbing, and educational. What more could you hope for?

Sleepy Eyes Knitting

Gina House of Londonderry owns Sleepy Eyes Knitting blog. Her subtitle states: "A Knit, Two Purls and Only Three Winks...knit...yawn...knit..must keep knitting...and spinning!" She is a 33 year old mom and two boys, age 3 and 13. Working part time as a yoga instructor, the rest of her time is devoted to being a mom and wife.

She maintains a "Sleepy Eyes Yarn" shop online and a Yoga web site. While to the untrained eye, knitting and yoga don't seem connected, Gina believes that "knitting brings your mind and body into a special place that is conducive to meditation and relaxation."

Most of the posts are regarding yarn and handcrafts.

I must admit, being a "knitter" myself, I am impressed with the amazing colors of these home-dyed yarns.

Milkweed Hill was created by Kristen, a stay-at-home mom of two, aiming to parent with grace, patience, love and facing each day with a small bowl of caffeine. Kristen also happens to be Ernesto's "better half."

Kristen shares some very sweet, and greatly entertaining stories of the every day challenges of her family including their joys and sorrows, foibles and feats.

She writes with a sense of humor, and shares her obvious love of her family, which most of us can definitely relate with.

A meeting of New Hampshire Bloggers is being organized.

The organizers are TJ of Better Living Through Chemistry blog, and JD from Grain of Salt.

Anyone who resides in New Hampshire and maintains a weblog is invited, whether you are a full-time blogger, or a casual blog hobbyist.

Our target date is Saturday, October 14th.

Our target location is Concord, New Hampshire (we don’t know where yet, so if anyone has any bright ideas, let TJ know).

Sarah Says is a blog belonging to Sarah Dobb, a writer, web developer, and Chinese language enthusiast. A student in the Technical & Professional Writing program at San Francisco State University, she is temporarily in New Hampshire, helping her grandparents to itemize and sell their collectibles on ebay.

She arrived just in time to surprise her mother on Mother's Day, and to experience the flooding we had in May 2006.

She is performing a workathon to raise money for New Hampshire's Horton Center. That alone is a good reason to stop by her blog.

Mike's Blog belongs to Mike Pride, editor of the Concord Monitor. He recently celebrated his first year anniversary (May 2005), and 149th blog entry.

"My Year As A Blogger" will give you a good idea of his personal insights into the process of blogging, what works and what doesn't, for him. He maintains a local focus, even when national or international news is involved, i.e. "How does this affect residents of New Hampshire?"

What I find most interesting about his blog, is his willingness to share the "inner workings" of their web-based news.

According to its 'About' section Wizbang! is a unique mix of news, politics, and entertainment... and is one of 'the most popular conservative weblogs on the Internet. Since its founding in April 2003, and has over 5 million unique visitors. Don't ask me to explain Wizbang's rise in popularity, but I imagine it's a function of topicality, humor, and insight.'

The blog is owned by Kevin Aylward, who I believe lives in Massachusetts. [Correction: Virginia]. In 2004 he invited guest bloggers, including New Hampshirite Jay Tea to join his team.

Jay is a popular and prolific writer. He must have a high level of blogger prestige, as it appears countless other blogs slam him personally, waiting with bated (or it is baited) breath hoping he will personally reply on their blog, or better yet mention their names on Wizbang.

If you'd like to raise your blood pressure, or simply read provative commentary, this is the blog to visit.

Keep New Hampshire Blue is really the new blog arm of the New Hampshire Democratic Party web site. The blog is brand spanking new, having been created in April of 2006.

Topics so far include a schedule of events of interest to the Democratic Party in New Hampshire, along with articles such as "Social Event Ideas."

As of this writing (May 29, 2006) there have been no May posts, but I expect as the presidential political season starts to heat up (any time now) this blog should become busier.
